As a family-founded non-profit, our mission is to provide essential backpacks filled with food, water, clothing, hygiene products, and survival items to those in need. More than just supplies, each backpack represents hope, dignity, and a second chance for individuals experiencing homelessness or hardship.
Our Story
Blessing Packs was founded by Devin Turner, a Baylor Football player, alongside his sister, Skyla Kelly, a dedicated nurse, and their parents, David and Kelisha Turner. With a strong commitment to giving back, their family has been distributing Blessing Packs together since Christmas 2022, focusing on the Dallas and Plano areas.
The inspiration behind Blessing Packs came from Kelisha Turner, who recognized a critical need for direct assistance to those struggling on the streets. Her vision became a family mission, and for over two years, they have been working together to bring relief and encouragement to people in need.
David Turner, a retired military veteran with 25 years of service, understands the importance of resilience and support during difficult times. His dedication to service and community is a driving force behind Blessing Packs' commitment to making a meaningful impact.
