What is Blessing Packs?

In times of hardship, a small act of kindness can make all the difference. That’s the heart behind Blessing Packs, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing backpacks filled with essential supplies to the homeless and those in need.

These backpacks contain food, water, clothing, hygiene products, and survival items—everything to help someone get through another day with dignity and hope.

The Mission Behind Blessing Packs

Blessing Packs was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to offer a lifeline to those struggling with homelessness and adversity. We believe that everyone deserves a second chance, and sometimes, that chance starts with something as simple as a meal, clean socks, or a warm blanket.

Our philosophy is summed up in our motto, "One More Day Mentality." This means that every Blessing Pack is more than just a collection of items—it’s a symbol of hope. It’s the idea that providing basic necessities can help someone make a better decision, find the right resources, and take a step toward a better future.

Meet the Founders

Blessing Packs was founded by Devin Turner, Defensive Back for the Northwestern Wildcats, and his sister Skyla Kelly. They saw a need in their community and took action, determined to make a real difference. Their vision was simple: to give people in difficult situations the tools to survive another day and the encouragement to keep going.

How Blessing Packs Helps

Our backpacks are distributed to homeless individuals and those in need in targeted areas where support is most crucial. Each pack is filled with essentials that provide temporary relief from hunger, thirst, and the elements.

Some of the items included in a Blessing Pack are:

Non-perishable snacks and bottled water
Hygiene products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and soap
Socks, gloves, and weather-appropriate clothing
First aid essentials
Encouraging notes and resource information for shelters and services

While a Blessing Pack won’t solve homelessness overnight, it serves as a small step in the right direction—a reminder that someone cares.
